هذا الكتاب الثالث الذي أقرأه لهذا الكاتب، يوفال هاراري. الكتاب الأول الذي قرأته له – والأكثر شهرة – هو كتاب Homo Sapiens، والذي علمت مؤخراً أيضاً بأن الكتاب ترجم للعربية تحت عنوان: “العاقل: تاريخ مختصر للنوع البشري. أما الكتاب الثاني فهو Homo Deus ويتحدث عن تاريخ الغد وليس الأمس. هذا الكتاب يتحدث فيه عن 21 موضوع أو قضية تهمنا في القرن 21. يكفي أن تطلعوا على عناوين الفصول ال21 (أسفل المدونة) والجملة المختصرة تحتها لمعرفة حقيقة وطبيعة كتابة هذا المؤلف.
يعرف المؤلف ما يتحدث عنه ويكتب بطريقة متماسكة تعكس وضوع رؤية لديه لهذه القضايا مستخدما معرفته بالتاريخ البشري من جهة وأيضاً بالقضايا التي تهمنا في الوقت الحالي والأهم من ذلك كله، تجد أنه يستطيع أن يستحضر تحديات العقود القادمة للبشرية جمعاء. يتحدث عن الدين والقوميات والعدالة. ويتحدث أيضاً عن خبرته الشخصية في آخر الكتاب عن كيفية استخدامه للتأمل اليومي (منذ أن قام في العام 2000 عندما كان يدرس الدكتوراة في جامعة أكسفورد بعمل دورة حول التدريب على طريقة Vipassana) لمدة ساعتين. وفكرته بسيطة – لكي نصل إلى المعرفة والحكمة علينا أن نستمع وأن نتعرف أكثر على عقلنا Mind. وبالتالي التأمل هو الطريق الذي يستخدمه لذلك. أنصح من يستطيع أن يقرأ ليس هذا الكتاب الأخير فحسب وإنما كافة الكتب التي يمكن أن يجده للمؤلف بالعربية أو بلغات أخرى يتقنها.
