كتاب رأس المال (الجزء الأول) لكارل ماركس والجزء الوحيد الذي صدر أثناء حياته – 1867 (باللغة الألمانية). حيث عمل فردريك إنجلز على تحرير ونشر مدونات ماركس والتي صدرت في الجزء الثاني والثالث بعد وفاته. وهو من أكثر الكتب شهرة وتأثيرا بل ومن أكثر الكتب القديمة اقتباسا ويقدم على انه انتقاد الرأسمالية والفكر الذي يبرره. انطباعي وأنا أستمع لهذا الكتاب هو ما يلي: إما أن ماركس وكتابه هذا مؤثر جداً وهو ما يفسر كيف أن الكثير مما نعتقده اليوم أو ننتقده في الرأسمالية نجد له أساسات نظرية في هذا الكتاب – بمعنى أننا بالمجمل مجرد مجترين لفكر ماركس. أو أنني أقرأ مؤخرا لكثير من المؤلفين الماركسيين ولهذا أجد تشابها فيما قرأته لديهم وما وجدته في كتاب رأس المال. في الحالتين النتيجة نفسها: ماركس لا يمكن تجنب فكره وتحليله في مجال الاقتصاد السياسي والسياسة والفلسفة.
