في خضم اهتمامي بتاريخ الحضارات قمت بشراء كتاب سبنغلر (المجلدين) وأنوي قرائتهم ليغطي المدرسة الألمانية في دراسة الحضارة. هذا الكتاب أخذته “على البيعة” وهو كتيب صغير يضع فيه خلاصة علمه وفكره حول الانسان والتقنيات ولا يعني فيها الأدوات وإنما مجموع ما يلزم كل ما وصلنا في التاريخ لتجعل الانسان انساناً. فالتقنيات بهذا المعنى خضعت لتغير جذري مع الثورة الصناعية وستؤثر على البشرية والحضارة الغربية بحسب ما يقدم له. وبهذا المعنى ايضاً ما يصلنا عن الحضارات هو أدوات استخدمت وبقيت ونعرف عنها في كتب التاريخ لكن التقنيات التي رافقت نشأتها واستخداماتها – والتي تشكل الحضارة – ليس لدينا معرفة كافية عنها. هناك مقدمة جيدة أيضاً للكتيب أنصح بقرائتها.
